Cash In at Clothes Tree! November 7, 2008

Halloween is over, so naturally those of us in retail have moved on to next big holiday…Christmas! It’s less than 50 days away now. Hard to believe, I know!

But you’ve still got plenty of time to prepare. The first thing you can do is gather up your children’s gently used toys and games and bring them to us for cold, hard cash or even better…store credit! We’re looking for all kinds of toys: dollhouses, dolls, trucks, action figures, learning toys & games, puzzles, board games, DVD’s, train tables, battery powered ride-on toys just to name a few. And of course, things that are still new in the box are the most coveted!

Please remember that the toys must be in good condition with all their pieces and with batteries where necessary.

You may bring things in Monday through Friday from 10am - 4pm. We want to turn the front section of our store into a fabulous Toy Shop! So, be sure to stop in before Christmas to check it out. You never know what you’ll find and I can guarantee you’ll save a bundle of money!

Christmas/Holiday Stuff! October 20, 2008

Although we are done buying regular clothes for fall and winter, we are still looking for fancy holiday dresses, suits for boys, sweaters, dress shoes, etc. in all sizes for now. The tentative deadline for holiday wear is December 5th. Check back for updates!

Shop around for this year’s Christmas outfit when you bring in last year’s outfit! We’re sure to have lots of pretty dresses and adorable sweaters and more! Since special occasion dresses and outfits are usually worn just once, the ones we have

will be practically new! Saving money on the clothes means more gifts under the tree or in your bank account!

Fall in Pennsylvania… October 12, 2008

Crisp air, falling leaves, golden sunshine, hayrides, pumpkins and flowers and corn stalks on front doorsteps. Nothing is as pleasant as fall in Pennsylvania!

Fall is also in full swing at Clothes Tree. We have everything you need and more! Lots of jeans, sweaters, jackets, fleece tops, sweatshirts, corduroys, plus Halloween costumes! And in anticipation of winter, we have coats, snow pants, snow boots, hats, gloves and mittens, too!

Also, please note that October 15th will be the last day we’re accepting clothing for the fall/winter season! We will continue to buy non-clothing items like strollers, high chairs, etc. We’re actually in need of Pack ‘n Plays and baby gates right now!

$10 Bag Sale! September 26, 2008

It’s that time of year again! The next $10 Bag Sale will be Saturday, October 11th, 10am – 5pm. Mark your calendar!

If you haven’t been to one yet, here’s how it works: We’ll have the clothing in bins separated by size and gender. We provide you with a plastic grocery bag. Stuff it with clothes for 10 bucks. Stuff as many bags as you want for $10 each!

When I say this is a popular event, I mean it. Last time we had people lining up outside our door before 10am! Help us spread the word and make this our busiest bag sale ever!

Pregnant? Don’t forget, we have maternity clothes! September 19, 2008

We have a whole rack of mostly Gap, Old Navy and Motherhood Maternity clothes at terrific prices!

Help us get the word out about our maternity clothes. If you know someone who is pregnant, be sure to let them know they can save big bucks by shopping at Clothes Tree. And naturally, while here they can shop for the new baby, too!

Ken & Jenn’s 1st Annual Frankly Huge Yard Sale! September 17, 2008

Saturday, September 20th, Reading’s radio station Frank 107.5 is sponsoring a yard sale in the parking lot of the Antietam Valley Shopping Center! It will be from 8am - 11am.

We’ll be opening early, so once you’ve browsed at the yard sale, pop into Clothes Tree. We’re having a special promotion: Pick an apple and get a discount…up to 50% off your total sale! You can come in anytime on Saturday from 8am - 5pm to pick your apple.

It’s that time of year again! This is when we get tons of clothing in every day and thanks to our new pricing system, it’s hitting the racks nearly as fast as it’s coming in the door. This is good news for you! We’ve been putting out lots of Gymboree, Limited Too, Gap, Old Navy, Ralph Lauren and more, so you must stop in soon to check it out!
